Who Thrives at Hero’s Summer Camp?

It’s a strong fit for families who value:

An active, social summer where kids move, play, and make friends

Positive adult guidance that builds confidence and character

Being intentional about who their child spends time with

Clear expectations paired encouragement

Kids don’t need to be perfect to thrive here — they need support, guidance, and accountability as they grow.

Parents who thrive here are receptive to feedback.

They understand that growth sometimes includes challenge, correction, and learning moments — all part of helping kids become more confident and capable.

We’re intentional about the culture we protect.

We’re looking for Heroes.

What Makes Hero’s Different?

Happy Campers

Hero’s Summer Camp is intentionally designed, not thrown together for the summer.

Adult-led, not teen-run

An active, social environment without screens running the day

Positive, structured days kids actually enjoy

A culture we actively protect

These choices aren’t always the easiest — but they’re what allow the environment to stay consistent, relational, and well-led all summer long.

A Day at Hero’s Summer Camp

Group Activity

Routine:

Morning & Core Day

Camp days are active and intentional from start to finish. Kids rotate through sports, movement, martial-arts-based activities, creative projects, and educational activities designed to build confidence and teamwork.

Active, Social Environment

Kids run, play, build, compete, and create throughout the day. Activities are designed to help kids make friends naturally and learn how to work together in a positive setting.

End-of-Day Wind-Down

After a full, active day, campers transition into a relaxed wind-down with friends.

This is when parents see our Kid Cave — a social space with board games, creative play, and relaxed time with friends at the end of a full day.

Group Activity

Benefits:

Pick-Up That Respects Parents’ Time

Pick-up runs from 5:00–6:00pm. Shoes on, bags packed, and families are typically out the door in about 60 seconds.

The Result

Most days end with tired legs, big smiles, and kids asking what they get to do tomorrow.

Why Parents Trust Hero’s:

Hero’s Summer Camp isn’t a pop-up program or a seasonal side project. We’ve been serving families in Ascension Parish for over 25 years — and we plan to be here for many more.

What that means for families:

Family-owned and operated

The standards we set aren’t theoretical. They’re the same ones we expect for our own kids.

Official school partnerships

Hero’s is an official partner with Ascension Parish schools and has worked alongside local educators for decades. We’re proud to support schools, teachers, and students throughout the parish.

Experienced, adult leadership

Camp is led by trained adults — including educators and experienced mentors — not rotating teen staff or volunteers.

A culture we actively protect

Enrollment is intentionally limited, and we’re thoughtful about who we bring into the community.

This is why so many families return year after year — and why referrals make up much of our community.

How Enrollment Works

Hero’s Summer Camp fills every year, so we keep enrollment simple and intentional.
Here’s how new families typically get started:

1 Review the Parent Guide

IIt covers pricing range, daily structure, and how enrollment works — so you know what to expect before reaching out.

2 Reach Out to the Hero’s Team

A short conversation helps confirm fit, answer questions, and check current availability.

3 Reserve a Spot

Spots are intentionally limited and held once reserved.

A Few Quick Answers

Do families have to attend the full summer?
No. Some families attend the full summer, others reserve specific weeks. What matters most is planning ahead, since availability is limited once camp fills.

Is this a daycare?
No. Hero’s Summer Camp is an intentionally designed program with structure, leadership, and active days — not drop-in childcare.
